BODY OF WORK

Rail transit through the city of London is a familiar transport tool for people living in this city. Whenever I sit on the train, at a moment when my own eyes are unclear, the scenery captured from the train window is the city appearance that people ignore, and it clearly reflects the profile/microcosm modern London. Photos are divided into three sections: the view through the window frame, the zoom in view, and the train station view.

SECTION 1-THROUGH THE WINDOW FRAME

The photos in this section are the initial practice of this idea. The photographer
sits in the train and captures the scenery outside the window by intercepting the shape of the train window.

SECTION 2-GET RID OF THE WINDOW FRAME

This section of the photo was adjusted after several shooting practices and
combined with the advice given by the professor, and the shape of the window was removed. The photographer sits in the train and directly sticks the lens to the window, taking pictures of the scenery outside the train window by zooming in.

SECTION 3- TRAIN STATION VIEW-INSIDE TO OUTSIDE & OUTSIDE TO INSIDE

This section is the inspiration after further deepening the shooting idea. The photos were mostly taken when the train was at the station. But this part is divided into two angles. I define the internal of the train as inside and the platform of the train station as outside. So the two shooting angles are: through the window, from outside to inside and from inside to outside. The window becomes a partition here. If the first two sections show the microcosm of the city's environment, the last third section shows the miniature of the city's human behavior from the train's
perspective during this particular epidemic (COVID-19).
